Description: George II silver cream jug of pear form, shaped rim, leaf capped scroll handle, the body with floral embossing on a stippled background, surrounding the asymmetrical cartouche with squirrel crest and raised above three shell feet, hallmarked London 1734, part hallmarks only visible, height measuring 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm). Together with a Georgian silver sauce boat, crested and initial engraving, hallmarks erased. Gross weight 9.5 ozt (297 grams). (2).
Condition Report: The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Construction line visible to the narrow of the neck of the cream jug, dent also to the cartouche, repair visible to the underside, part hallmarks only visible as the Leopards head and date letter, these appear rubbed, part of the decoration may not be contemporary.
