Description: A German Baroque Walnut and Marquetry Armoire

Early 18th Century

The outset cornice over a recessed frieze and pair of doors, each with an angelic bust over a recessed arched floral marquetry inlaid panel above an outset marquetry panel inlaid with flower filled urns divided and flanked by outset spiral twist columns supported on scrolled acanthus issuing fruited tasseled garlands over two panel molded drawers ending in ball feet.
Height 8ft (2.40m); width 5ft (1.50m); depth 25in (64cm)

Condition:
In overall good condition. Typical cracking to veneer and marquetry. Slight warping to marquetry. Some patches. Old worming. Bun feet and top moldings on cornice replaced. Left lower pilaster with losses to edges.
