Description: A group of 4 Egyptian scarabs. Two are carved from steatite and two are faience, one bears an amuletic cartouche of the New Kingdom pharaoh Thutmose III. All are from the Late Period, c. 664 332 BC except for the steatite scarab depicting a fish between an Ankh and a Nefer, which appears to be from the New Kingdom. Largest 18 x 18mm. Some weathering light deposits. All four are holed lengthwise for suspension. Ex Hamdy Sakr collection; previously in the private collection of Alex Anckonie III, acquired during his time in the Navy in the 1960's - 1970's.
