Description: Ni mai hatomune do, the individual parts of the do consisting of a leather plate lacquered to resemble the rows of a yokohagi do. Attached are seven five-lame leather kusazuri in kon ito lacing. The interior padding and collar missing, the kohire worn and with insect damage. Lacquer finish with losses. Six-lame chu sode, kon ito lacing. Shino kaware kote, the forearms with kawarashino, smooth tekko, kawara on the forearm, connected by unlacquered brass kusari. Shino and hiji gane with losses. Haidate of matching, light leather kawara with brass kusari. Shinosuneate with brass kusari. Some of the leather pieces warped, lacquer finish with losses, textile parts partially worn. The extremely light leather construction and the missing hinge indicate that this suit of armour was worn by a youth on ceremonial occasions.
