470cm from the left, 474cm from the right, 169cm across the top, 180cm across the middle, 189cm across the bottom. Slightly tapers as at top. Pile varies 3-4mm generally down to knotbars in areas, the border generally with higher pile and indigo ground within main field vary from 3mm down to 1mm and knotheads. Lower pile to some of floral motifs including the lighter coloured tulip heads. There are some small surface marks for example within the lower section of borders and top right corner. Some areas of re-piling. Vestiges of fringing, overlocked and with herringbone tape attached across the width at both ends. Design is a variant of a 17th century shrub and trellis carpet. Lovely range of colours, very well articulated inner reciprocal guard stripe.
