Description: A Komai Plate of lobed circular form raised on a short foot, decorated in typical silver hon-zogan and gold nunome with a central medallion of a dragon surrounded by radiating reserves of kacho-e scenes and diaper designs, seal to the foot "Nihon Kuni Kyoto ju Komai sei", diameter 9cms, Meiji Period; And a Komai Vase and Cover, the bulbous body mounted with simple upright handles and bearing a domed cover with bronze and silver knop in the form of a teapot, the vase decorated in typical style with floral and landscape shaped panels beneath a key-fret band, height 8cms, unsigned, Meiji Period (2) Provenance: Pen Moel near Chepstow
