Description: A Large Cast Bronze Sectional Incense Burner and Cover, the main body decorated with panels of birds amid the branches of an oak tree on one side, the reverse with Gigaku dancers on a stage, all on a key-fret diaper ground, the cover cast with a reticulated band of clouds and a knop formed as an eagle on rocks, the whole resting on a support of various layers cast as dragons, chidori above waves, elephant head legs and a base of a convoluted dragon amid wave girt rocks; with fitted wood stand; height overall 193cms, Meiji-Taisho Period Provenance: Pen Moel near Chepstow
