Description: A large Levantine limestone cylinder seal, 2nd Millennium BC, with three incised registers containing stylized iconography one depicts a bird facing with open wings, head facing to right, the central registered is vertically aligned and depicts a horned animal; and the last a flowering plant resembling an Egyptian lotus. Well-preserved with mottled surface mineralization and rather substantial. 3.5 x 2.3 cm. Ex Northern California private collection.
