Description: A lovely Pre-Columbian textile, ca. 1400 - 1500 AD. This beautiful Chimu-Inca example is 14 in wide, 7 in high and consists of a tightly woven strip made from alpaca wool, decorated with geometric designs resembling water emblems. That piece is flanked by gold borders and attached to it is a loosely woven cotton piece with dyed, square designs in a variety of colors. Professionally mounted on canvas backing and in a clear acrylic frame. Ready to hang. Ex Cohen estate.
