Description: A Near Eastern bronze handle in form of a bull, c. 1000 - 600 BC, the head nicely detailed with pointed tab on top upon which would have been mount a weapon or too of some kind. The bull’s body has been narrows and stylized into the handle with the tail elongated and curved underneath with detailed end. A most interesting piece which is intact as it is with an attractive patina. L: 6 1/8 in (15.6 cm). Ex Collection of Ex Milton Gerard Mallon.
