Description: A pair of ancient stamp seals. Lot includes a domed carnelian stamp seal, Northern Syria, c. 3rd Millennium BC, with geometric device on base, drilled lengthwise for suspension. L: 1.2 cm. The second piece is a Mesopotamian terracotta stamp seal, later 3rd Millennium BC, with two quadrupeds on the base. W: 2.3 mm. Some weathering and losses to the handle. Ex Midwest private collection.
