Description: Gauntlets of different shapes, each with four finger lames and five metacarpal lames. The right gauntlet with hinged escutcheon, the left one with fixed thumb and three finger scales. Cuffs of different shapes, the right one opening on a hinge. A large guard disk riveted to the cuff of the left gauntlet to attach the reins. Both gauntlets with identical decorative lines in black stain etching decorated with flower ornaments. Brass rivets. The right gauntlet complete, original small repair to one lame. Three finger lames, knuckle guards and finger scales on the thumb of the left gauntlet well replaced. Length 26 and 32 cm. Rare, asymmetrical pair of gauntlets providing more protection to the left hand at the expense of mobility.
