Description: A pair of officer's flintlock pistols, dating: last quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Piedmont Smooth, two-stage, 17 mm cal. barrels, octagonal and round with rings and frame at the girdle, provided with foresight, with two stamps each at the breech, one with crowned Savoy coat of arms, the other with a rampant animal, both with remains of gilding; slightly roundish plates, recessed at the ends, the base of the batterie spring chiselled with effigy of leaf; wooden full stocks, one with relieved borders near the metallic components; iron mounts, outlined butt-plates,counter-plates decorated with relieved bands and engraved leaves. Horn-tipped wooden ramrods. Re-converted form percussion. dimensions: length 34 cm.
