Description: manufacturer's mark for Taylor & Lawrie (active circa 1837-1850), retailed by James Watson, period engraved "T" monogram to central cartouche, hand-chased decoration in the Rococo taste.

From the Estate of Mrs. Camilla Hammond Smith Strange of Annandale Farm, Gordonsville, VA and Warrenton, VA Born in Washington, D.C., Mrs. Strange was a proud member of the Society of the Lees of Virginia. Like her mother and grandmother, she had a great knowledge and appreciation of antiques and enjoyed decorating with them throughout her home.
