A rare pair of under-hammer percussion travelling pistols, dating: mid-19th Century
Smooth, octagonal, 10 mm cal. barrels of two types of damask, depicting spirals, marked "LONDON" in brass; long, smooth tang engraved with floral motifs, marked "GR" in front of the rear-sight; box-lock type frame decorated en suite with the lower hammer; checkered, wooden butts, engraved iron trigger guards, butt-plates with primer case, engraved silver mount, the cover in the shape of an iron shell. A pistol with belt hook, the other without hook.
