Looking for the realized and estimated price?

Description: A Roman orange-ware unguentarium, c. 3rd - 5th Century AD, hand built, with tapered base and horizontal ridges around the shoulder and neck and with a low vertical rim. The surfaces are nicely burnished in a deep red-orange, mineral deposits throughout and what look to be carbon deposits around the rim and mouth. H: 5 3/4 in (14.6 cm). An interesting vessel that doesn't seem to have been used for holding oil. Ex Tachner collection with receipts from the Ariadne gallery (1980).

Condition Report: The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid. All transactions are governed by Ancient Resource LLC's Conditions of Sale.
