FEOFAN GEORGIEVICH ANGELIN (RUSSIAN 1910-1984) A Record-keeper, circa 1950s, oil on board, 17 1/2 x 25 1/2 in (45 x 64 cm), signed and titled on verso.
Born in Donetsk region. Graduated from Moscow Institute of Art named after Surikov. Worked as a painter in Bolshoy Theatre. He fought in WWII. He created a lot of artworks describing scenes from Civil War and World War II. One of his favorite genres was landscape. Besides this he painted a lot of still lifes and lyrical portraits.
