Description: the x-frame legs continuing to flank the upholstered back and ending in flaming finials, joined by stretcher; with losses and damages
These unusual and very decorative chairs have been redecorated and are in need of professional attention. There are marks and scratches consistent with age and use, and overall, extensive losses to the gilding, particularly to the legs. One chair with legs broken and repaired; one with one leg broken and detached; one further chair is missing one flamed finial, while one other finial is loose; one other chair also with one missing finial. The silk upholstery is worn in places, and stained.
