Description: Octagonal barrel slightly constricted in the middle, with old bluing. Eight-groove rifled bore in 16 mm calibre, dovetailed sight. At the breech engraved signature "Wolff Schultz 1683", beside it illegible mark. Lock with internal wheel. Lock plate lavishly engraved with vivid tendrils, the cock decorated with standing Cupid (partly pitted). Spring-loaded pan cover, on the inside of the lock struck swan mark with "WS". Set trigger. Carved walnut stock with finely embossed decoration, the forestock with wavy upper edges. Numerous oval and blossom-shaped inlays of polished mother of pearl. Behind the tang illegible stock maker's signature, stamped mark with monogram "MM(?)", possibly Michael Maucher in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Patch box with sliding lid, containing a simple wheellock wrench with broken tumbler. Horn butt cap. Nose and ramrod sleeve made of bone, the end of the forestock with small replacement on the left. Original wooden ramrod with bone tip and iron threaded sleeve. Length 106.5 cm.
