A SUPERB GANDHARAN SCHIST HEAD OF SIDDHARTHA,c.3rd Century A.D., of museum quality and significance, sculpted in his emaciated state, the fine featured bearded visage flanked by pendulous ears, above a sinuous neck, the deeply recessed eye sockets with downcast eyes and protruding veins at forehead and a central raised urna, his wavy hair gathered in a topknot, circular nimbus to rear, of exceptional detail, nimbus rejoined, 45x46cm
