Description: A U.S. Model 1816 percussion conversion musket by W.L. Evans The 42 inch .69 caliber barrel with bolster conversion to percussion, the replaced breech section stamped H on the side flat. Lock marked W L Evans/V. Forge and at tail 1829/US. Iron furniture and walnut stock of standard pattern. Condition: Good. Grey metal showing some light pitting and generally sharp markings, the lock eagle very worn. Stock showing numerous dents, scratches and bruises, partial crack at wrist and slivered losses in front of lock and at ramrod trough.
