Description: A unique Wedgwood Millennium vase & cover specially manufactured for the Sir Stanley Matthews Foundation 2001, superb quality edition of one, hand painted portrait of Sir Stanley Matthews, scenes of The Potteries and Coat of Arms of Stoke-on-Trent by Manfred Pinter, and 22-carat gilding by George Downes, the cover inscribed PRESENTED TO THE SIR STANLEY MATTHEWS FOUNDATION 2001, height 23cm. in original fitted box; sold with a framed certificate from Wedgwood (2) Provenance: Bought at the Stanley Matthews auction at Sotheby's Olympia, 21st September 2001, lot 104.
