A Victorian Gothic oak chiming bracket clock
circa 1850, of large proportions, by John Moore of Clerkenwell, the top pediment with turned acorn finial, carved lion mask and four further turned finials, the arched dial with engraved gilt decoration, silvered dial with Roman numerals, strike/silent mechanism, slow/fast dial, Eight Bells and Cambridge chimes, fusee movement, the base with carved flower-heads and engraved brass pate inscribed "This clock was made in about 1851 by John Moore of Clerkenwell fore someone unknown. Purchased by Mr Channing of Puttenham Nr. Guilford in 1969", the side panels missing, 30in (76.5cm) high, 16in (41cm) wide.
