Description: A Victorian musical box, playing 8 airs, the speed governor stamped 'AP Co', with a single spring motor, comb and accompaniment combs for drum and six bells each with engraved decoration, with gilt bee, butterfly and flower head hammers, the bells mounted on gilt lyre brackets, the barrel of thirteen inches, with an ebonized interior and three-quarter glazed dust lid, set in a burr walnut veneered case with tulipwood banding and boxwood and ebony strung inlay, 24cm high, 60cm long, 32cm deep. condition report Box missing air sheet; one tooth is damaged.
