A Vizagapatam ivory veneered and horn chess set, 19th century, the hinged board in the form of two closed books , the chequer board with-in a band of engraved scrolling leaf decoration opening to reveal an inlaid sandalwood backgammon board and three hinged lid ivory veneer boxes containing chess pieces and draughts along with two shaker pots and three dice, 41cm wide, 9.5cm high, 23.5cm deep
