A well engineered 4 inch scale live steam model of a Fowler BB1 compound ploughing engine, the steel boiler with fittings including sight-glass, pressure gauge, eccentric driven feed pump, injector, speed gear operating lever, safety valve, whistle operated by chain, ratchet lubricator, balanced crank with fitted brass oiler cups and bevel gear drive to spoked flywheel, cylinder drain cocks operated from driving position, reverse quadrant and lever, hand feed water pump fitted to tender, lever operated bevel gear linkage to plough winding drum with fitted wire rope and fairlead, finished in black paintwork with brass barrel bands, spoked wheels with red lining, polished brass wheel caps, rubber road tyres, wooden running boards to sides of boiler, and cast builder's plates 'John Fowler & Co (Leeds) Ltd', 236cm long, 85cm wide.
Boiler history: Built by Gratton Engineering in 2000. Serial Number PV211. Report of Examination of Pressure System carried out by Farncare of Lymington and signed by Ian Farrance (Eng.Tech,Glnst NDT), 27th June 2013. Hydraulic test pressure 230 psi. Safety valves set at 150 psi. Valid until 27th August 2014.
