Description: the lid inlaid with the coronet for a Countess and scrolled monogram, fitted interior with silver and glass accoutrements, some glass with damage

Provenance: Probably Susan Georgiana Ramsay (neé Hay), Countess and then Marchioness of Dalhousie (1817-1853).

Lady Susan Hay, daughter of George, 8th Marquess of Tweeddale married James Andrew Ramsay, 1st Marquess of Dalhousie, son of George Ramsay, 9th Earl of Dalhousie on the 21υst January 1836.
