Juana Leno (1917-2000), Native American, New Mexico, ca. 1950 to 1960. A lovely polychrome pottery owl effigy piece created by Juana Leno (1917-2000) also known as Syo-ee-mee (Turquoise) and formerly Juana Louis Vallo. While the form is relatively simple, Ms. Leno's painting program is quite detailed and lively. A wonderful examples from one of the least appreciated yet fine potters of Acomita. Size: 3" W x 3.5" H (7.6 cm x 8.9 cm)
