Description: Excellent Aesthetic Period Davenport Desk & Chair. The top has spindled galleries with inlaid panel above a central beveled mirror, carved side corbels and 2 shelves with turned support over gilt carved sunflower back panels; slanted front lift top with green leather work surface, open interior with drawers and open compartments, supported with spindled corbels. The base has 2 full width drawers on the left side with faux drawer panels on the right having brass ring pulls, raised on turned supports and with a spindled gallery around a lower tier. Overall has original gilt incised highlights and edonized originall finish. 55.75 in. high x 31 in. wide x 21.75 in. deep. The chair has a square crest rail and a beveled front over a spindled gallery, turned side posts with chip carvings on the front, stands on turned front legs. In nice condition with no breaks or repairs. 33 in. high x 16 in. wide x 16 in. deep.
