Description: AFRICAN TRIBAL DAN MASK.
Liberia, late 19th- early 20th century, exotic wood. A band of cloth with sewn cowry shells adorn the mask with metal eyes, pronounced lips, piloted holes and hand chiseled interior. 10.5"h.

Provenance: purchased Margo Antiques CWE March 1984, accompanied by paperwork.
