Hand-colored engraving, mezzotint and roulette by John Sartain, 1854, signed by Sartain in pencil, a proof before the letters, on heavy wove paper, trimmed within the platemark, pale lightstain and matstain, matstain line, unobtrusive foxing, soiling and other discoloration, some old paper and glue residue at top and right sheet edges verso, a 1 1/2 inch tear with a small loss at right sheet edge (extending 1/2 inch into the image), otherwise in good condition, framed.
