Alter Dom am Lustgarten, Berlin. 1850s. Salt print with rounded corners. 15,5 x 21 cm. Signed by the photographer in ink in lower left corner, mounted to original board (slightly soiled).
A rare signed salt print by Ahrendts showing the old Dome in Berlin which was torn down in 1893 to make way for a new more 'representative' Dome which still stands today. - Light foxing spots in sky area, minimal fading in edges, otherwise in very good condition with a strong violet-brown tone.
