AIDEN LASSELL RIPLEY (American, 1896-1969) GROUSE SHOOTING NEW ENGLAND A BRACE ON THE RISE. Unsigned large oil on canvas hunting scene shows two hunters in stone wall and grass covered field with hunting dog; shooting at a grouse in flight. Very colorful pasture and wooded hillsides with New England farm. All under a blue sky with puffy clouds. Housed in a fine wide gilt molded wood frame. PROVENANCE: Rankin Estate, Annapolis, Maryland.
