[1863]. In-4 étroit (35,7 x 13 cm), toile gris beige (Chartier).

Le dernier agenda d'Alfred de Vigny qu'il tenait encore le dimanche 6 septembre, onze jours avant sa mort. Le premier plat de la reliure porte une étiquette de sa main : "1863 - memento pour chaque jour". Cet agenda contient des notes diverses au crayon et à l'encre sur 203 pages préimprimées et vierges : "Ce matin doit se faire à Montmartre l'exhumation du cercueil de ma mère dans le terrain qui m'appartient à perpétuité, afin d'y creuser trois caveaux où seront déposés les restes de ma famille dont je serai le dernier. […] Soir. L'exhumation est accomplie. Une lettre de mon ami le docteur Br. de Boismont m'en donne les sombres détails. Dans huit jours les trois caveaux seront prêts à recevoir les restes des deux femmes que j'ai si tendrement aimées. Celle dont j'ai été le volontaire esclave pendant trente-cinq ans en aimant ma chaîne, en la sauvant sans cesse, n'a pu être sauvée cette fois de la plus imprévue des attaques. […] Tous les médecins la craignaient et en tout lieu de préparais tout pour la secourir, pour détourner cette épée de Damoclès de son front. - Le cheveu s'est brisé. - Hélas ! et : Pourquoi !- mon Dieu !" (13-14 février ; Lydia était morte subitement le 22 décembre 1862) ; "Fait enlever par M. Bonneville, tapissier, les rideaux de Damas de laine gris et le dais pour que tout soit lavé et purifié des punaises avant de poser un lit neuf. - Klein, ébéniste, va faire un lit d'acajou moucheté. - vient chez moi faire les conventions. Lit de 4 pieds - 130 f. environ" (24 mars) ; "Note. Mr Eugène Delacroix - mon ancien ami, peintre illustre, est mort de la poitrine ce matin à sept heures" (12 août) ; "Reçu Mr Gigoux à 5 h. Je lui donne mon portrait à offrir à madame de Balzac. - peint à l'huile par mon ami Gigoux. " (17 août). Une des pages finales de notes porte une liste de livres prêtés dont deux n'avaient semble-t-il toujours pas été rendus à la mort du poète, notamment : "À Mr Barbey d'Aurevilly - Le règlement intérieur de l'Académie française".
On trouve dans l'agenda quatre factures, une ordonnance médicale et deux feuillets de notes d'une autre main que celle de Vigny.
