Description: Alfred Thompson Bricher original oil on board. Hand signed by the artist. 40x20 cm image size. One of a kind original. Bricher was born in Portsmouth New Hampshire in 1837-1908. He was educated in the academy at Newburyport Massachusetts. He began his career as a businessman in Boston. He studied at the Lowell Institute of Art and with Albert Bierstadt, William Morris Hunt. He attained noteworthy skill in landscapes and devoted himself to art as a profession. In 1868 he moved to New York City. He loved Raritan Bay New York and this was one of his views from his window.
