Description: Almenashurat Alcharabya AlBritania V'Alamania Makarna Bin Antantin Manha - two posters regarding the British occupation of Jerusalem. [ca. 1917]. One poster in English, French and Arabic; one poster in English, French and Arabic in Hebrew letters. Printed on both posters: (a). Edmund Allenby's official declaration of military rule following the occupation of Jerusalem on December 9, 1917. (b).Version of the proclamation announced in 1915 by the Germans after they occupied the city of Holnon, France, with the decree that women and children over age of 15 are obligated to work in the fields all week long. (c). A text comparing between the German attitude towards the Holnon occupation and the British attitude towards the occupation of Jerusalem. 44X71 cm framed: 57X83 cm; 46X71 cm framed: 58X83 cm. Good condition. Folding marks. Not examined out of frame.
