Description: 19th century West Persia, cork wool on cotton This carpet was produced in the 19th and 20th century for the American market. Mostly oversized formats were produced, smaller carpets were also found among them. The carpets usually made of cork wool have typical colours, old pink, blue and mustard tones. In the 1970s these carpets from America were re-imported to Europe. The pile is silky soft, the patterns are always floral. 161,4 x 126 inch condition 4, complaints by wear, in need of cleaning, restored areas, Abrash. Maybe stains and worn-out areas. Small repairs necessary and worthwhile.
