Description: Blade hira zukuri, torii zori. Gunome midare with hitatsura hamon, masame itame hada, boshi hitasura. Sashikomi polish, spots at the edge. Funa gata nakago, ubu, two mekugi ana, yasurime not recognisable any more, illegibly inscribed "Tadahiro ?". Copper habaki. Mounting from the late Edo period. Shibuichi mounts with delicately carved wave design. Tsuka fitted with fine same, gilt blossom menuki, black silk cord wrap. Shibuichi kozuka with waves and gold spray dots. Inscribed: "O Mori Teruhide". On the insides remnants of a broken off blade. Waribashi in shibuichi with fluted design. Black lacquer saya with fine vertical ribs, drying cracks. Length k/m 26.8 cm, total length 41 cm.
