Description: An Egyptian blue faience scarab and a scaraboid, New Kingdom, c. 1570 – 1075 BC, the scarab molded with detailed body and signs for luck and protection on the base, 9 x 7mm, and overall with very nice color. The scaraboid is carved in steatite with domed back and base with a nefer sign before a chick, the green glaze well-preserved. 13 x 7mm. Both holed lengthwise for suspension and nice examples. Ex Hamdy Sakr collection; previously in the private collection of Alex Anckonie III, acquired during his time in the Navy in the 1960's - 1970's.
