Description: An English porcelain equestrian portrait plaque of Seymour Sydney Hyde, painted by J. Simpson, c.1869, after the portrait by Sir Francis Grant, with inscription to the reverse of the plaque, the porcelain probably Minton, 8.5 x 6.25in., contained in a velvet and gilt metal mounted rosewood frame with engraved plaque, overall 14 x 12.5in.
