Description: An interesting pair of double-barrelled flintlock pistols by H. Nock, dating: late 18th Century provenance: England Smooth, round, blued, juxtaposed, 12 mm cal. barrels with rib and foresight; wide, blued ribs, finely engraved with floral motifs; flintlocks engraved en suite and signed "H. NOCK", provided with sealing system; wooden half stocks checkered at the butts, with blued iron mounts, engraved en suite, trigger guards numbered "915" and "916"; brass-tipped wooden ramrods. Henry Nock, the court gunsmith, was known for his pistols having seven to eleven barrels. See "Der Neue Stoeckel", Vo. II, page 874. dimensions: length 32 cm.
