Description: Attributed to Shuosai Hidemasa II, Osaka, Mid 19th century. Finely designed and carved, kicking a kemari, a deerskin football. Lightly stained and of elegant mien, the robe bears delicate designs. Signed on the back within an irregular reserve, Hidemasa. 2 1/8in (5.3cm). Provenance: Purchased from R. Koscherak, 1951. Exhibited: the Student Center (August 29 - September 25, 1960)
