Description: By Ohara Mitsuhiro (b.1810), Osaka, Mid 19th century. The head of a sea bream in a mortar. Signed on bottom in oval reserve, Mitsuhiro. Similar example illustrated in Lazarnick, pg.1322 with kakihan added to signature. Ex Richards collection. 1 1/2in (3.8cm). Provenance: Ex Richards collection. Purchased from R. Koscherak, 1957.
