Description: By Masakazu, Osaka, Early 19th century. Seated using an abacus that he is holding on his knees, eyes inlaid in black, he wears a short kimono with a design of five-petal flowers, some wear and well-patinated on the back with large himotoshi. Signed in an irregular torpedo shaped reserve on the underside, Masakazu. 1 1/8in (2.9cm). Provenance: Ex Scott Meredith collection.
