An exceptional and rare pair of American silver twenty light candelabra with figural stands

The vasiform candelabra with floral spherical bases on four leaf headed recessed paw supports below a narrow leafy stem issuing twenty leaf-capped scrolling arms with foliate sconce terminals and detachable nozzles in three tiers of five, ten and five; the stands with a square form tapering base raised on four outset leaf-headed paw supports from a drape of leafy scrolls and flowers, under a baluster form shaft with spiral scrolls of foliage and beading headed by a quartet of female half-figures separated by trophies of music and flowers, below a crown of foliage and further expanding tiers rising to a circular saucer-form platform. Cast and raised construction with applied and chased decoration. The stands in three detachable parts: platforms which lock into the top of the shafts and the shafts which screw into the bases. The candelabra in two basic detachable parts: the stem, containing a nut secured arm assembly, which screws into the base.
