"...Doorway," pencil on paper, initialed, matted and framed under glass with gallery plaque.
SS 15.75 x 11.75 in.; DOA 26 x 22 in.
This was the first study for Wyeth's "In the Doorway." This drawing was found folded up in a book purchased by Bob. Bob brought it to Wyeth's attention, who then explained that it was the first study of Helga standing in the doorway in this pose, he then signed the work for Bob.

Bob Timberlake, an internationally acclaimed realist painter, furniture maker, author, and philanthropist lives in Lexington, North Carolina. Primarily known for his watercolor paintings, his depiction of life in his Native North Carolina has endeared his work to an international audience.
