Description: ANGLO-INDIAN CAMPHORWOOD AND BRASS-BOUND MILITARY CHEST
EARLY 19TH CENTURY
of rectangular form with baize lining to the interior and two lift-out trays, the hinged lid inset with brass plaque bearing inscription MAJOR GENERAL BOWDLER/ 1, iron carrying handles
76cm wide, 49cm high, 46cm deep

Condition Report: Of good appearance and colour
Brasses in good order
Two horizontal cracks to the lid; horizontal crack to left hand facing side, and a further smaller crack to the lid at the left hand facing side
Interior in generally good overall condition, baize has been added (not recently) in the past, of a largely serviceable condition but with some tears and holes here and there
Iron catch missing one screw
Some scuffs, scores and old marks here and there
