Description: 6th century AD. A bronze cruciform bow brooch with rectangular headplate, shallow bow and beast-head finial; the headplate with incised vertical lines and horseshoe stamps, one lateral waisted knop and another above (possibly a later addition); the bow with chamfered ends, two D-shaped lappets, horse-head finial with raised scaphoid eyes; remains of ferrous pin and catchplate to the reverse. 56 grams, 13cm (5"). Found Nottinghamshire, UK; 1990-2000s. [No Reserve]

Condition Report: Fine condition, some ferrous accretion to the reverse.
