Description: 5th-6th century AD. A flat-section bronze penannular hoop with the ends coiled around the shank, expanding lozengiform plaque with incised borders, four neatly executed ring-and-dot motifs. Cf. Evison, V.I. & Hill, P. Two Anglo-Saxon Cemeteries at Beckford, Hereford & Worcester, CBA Research Report 103, York, 1996, p.114 (grave B48 item 10) for type. 0.95 grams, 19mm overall, 17.33mm internal diameter (approximate size British N 1/2, USA 6 3/4, Europe 14.44, Japan 14) (3/4"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the 1970s.
