ANTIQUE AMERICAN BANJO CLOCK
With gilt eagle finial on wooden pediment. Brass side arms. Painted dial signed "Aaron Willard, Boston". Signature not original, and possibly repainted. Reverse-gilt and painted throat glass. Reverse-painted tablet depicting a naval battle between the Wasp and the Reindeer with American flag and cross cannons in the foreground. Gilt wood frame with turned spandrels. Height to finial 38 1/2".
